The Food and Drug Administration updated the label of the diabetes drug Ozempic to acknowledge reports of blocked intestines in some people using it.

Ozempic and its sister weight loss drug, Wegovy, have recently soared in popularity.

The medications mimic a hormone the body naturally makes to slow the passage of food through the stomach, which helps people feel fuller longer.

The labels of Wegovy and a diabetes drug called Mounjaro acknowledge reports of intestinal blockage in some people who use them.

Ozempic’s label has been updated to say that as well.

While Elvis' death certificate lists his cause of death as a heart attack, he, too, suffered similar problems; pathologists Dr. Eric Muirhead and Dr. Noel Florredo found evidence of severe and chronic constipation during a post-mortem examination.

Fat people driving up insurance and healthcare rates for the 68% of America that isn't obese is the grossest.

I cant think of one problem with that segment of the population doing anything they can to lose weight. Take it with a Metamucil cocktail and waddle on down the road.

The SO takes it as a diabetic and one of the first things the doc told him was folks were reporting having constipation with it. They recommended using a mild stool softener if it started and if he began to get any pain/discomfort to contact them.

If folks aren't aware of the issue, its because their doctors aren't doing what they're supposed to do on their end.

Are they aware of the gall bladder disease and pancreatic cancer issues? If your SO had a healthy diet and exercise regimen he wouldn’t need it

Did you know that anytime you lose large amounts of weight its not uncommon to develop issues with your gallbladder? So not shocking that someone who likely loses a fair amount of weight on, well, anything could end up having it removed. And yes, they discussed the pacreatic cancer issues. And the risk isn't any higher than it is with his other diabetic medication that he took for years. The risk assessment says he's likely to have less complications on the Oxempic then he would have on his other medication that he was using daily and after meals.

And considering that you've been full on wishcasting cancer on people taking these meds in other threads, it's pretty clear you're big mad that someone lost as much weight as you on these drugs versus working out.

The fat fricks are too lazy to exercise & don't have the will power to push away from the table, or put down the alcohol.

My Dr told me the meds I take for my M.S would make me gain substantial weight. It did. She gave me a diet & exercise plan that I follow so I won't be a fat arse. I also quit drinking. Guess what? I'm not fat. Crazy how that works.

I am a Diabetic Fatty and I take the oral form of Ozempic, Rybelsius. I do not have any intestinal issues. Some times I do have the Taco Bell shits though. So my intestines are clog free.
