How many Covid 19 cases would it take in Baton Rouge for this to occur? I’m going with 3 confirmed cases in EBR.

It’s my understanding that many police officers who are scheduled to work are backing out.

Austin canceled South by Southwest which is a lot more money. If the police don’t work, the parade organizers can’t get insurance. If they can’t get insurance, they can’t get a permit.

Wel that’s not true at all, no city is hosting a rowdy st Patrick’s day parade with no police working it. That said, the parade isn’t getting cancelled

That’s fair. I would say 60/40 it will happen at this point. If it was 3 weeks out I would say 70/30 it will not.

Most of us are decedents of both. We like them both, but have never had to kill the Irish. We have no objections to killing British.

Seems like you have no concept of what O/U means. Go Google it you tard.

This parade would be fine. All the police do at this parade is send the undercover MIP squad to bust college students.

What’s so stupid is this virus is no where near as bad as the flu yet we are flooded with information that this is the second coming of Ebola. Now if all the cops working the parade are over 80 with weak immune systems and live in a nursing home then I understand not working the event.

Baton Rouge would not have the St Pats day parade if there were no police to work it. It’s not even debatable

The 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot was at the Battle of New Orleans, Jackson’s men killed Irishmen that day.

Well, the mortality rate is orders of magnitude higher for coronavirus/CONVID-19. It has a 3.4% mortality rate worldwide. The flu has about a 0.05% mortality rate. And it has a hospitalization mortality rate of 15%. There is also no vaccine, unlike the flu. Like the flu, it is highly contagious. It’s also in its infant stages, so we have no idea of the potential rate of infection and nobody has built up any immunity to it other than the body’s natural immune system.

The chance of expiration is much worse with CONVID-19 than the flu statistically.

Parades existed before police. As long as Pats still breathing, there will be a parade.

I sure hope it doesn’t get cancelled

It’s one of the few things BR does right

it just amazes me how many people spout this nonsense. Its like do you even read Ro and mortality rates or do you just use your gut feel?
