Here's my two cents. If you are going on safari to hunt these exotic animals, you need to do this on your own. No body guards to shoot the animal in case you miss. Just you, your gun and the beast. That way if you miss, they win. Then people would think twice about doing this type of hunting.

I have no problem whatsoever with this. The giraffe was 18 years old, not a breeder and killed three other bulls that were breeders. But giraffes are pretty so we have to be enraged! The people that are outraged over this haven’t done their research.

If one giraffe that can’t breed kills three giraffes that can breed, how is that good for the species? This is what you would call a necessary kill.

I'm sorry my thread beat your thread by 10 minutes and you were subjected to "germans" outrage.

Yea, no fricking point in that whatsoever. This is coming from someone who grew up hunting and hunts every season.

These are the shite heads that Joe Rogan talks about on his podcast.

You haven’t done your research on the topic. This type of hunting is necessary.

Is there still time for me to post my thoughts purely based on hyperbole and emotion while I simultaneously ignore any contextual facts?

And this applies to so many other things including Rhinos and Lions

So many times, the outrage and sometimes the ensuing regulation is brought through feelings not facts

People hate to see "pretty" and "peaceful" things being hunted but couldn't care less if someone hits a mouse with their car

Don’t be mad at her. Be mad at South Africa. It’s legal. She did nothing wrong. It sucks the animal died and in that manner but it’s legal PERIOD

That dentist's life went completely sideways because of the lion a couple years ago.

From what I read this particular giraffe was old and preventing younger bulls from breeding. Maybe that's true. Fine. Whatever.

That dentist lured a well known old lion off of a nature preserve to kill it. He deserves every bit of shite he got and more so.

These people really wanna hunt big game they should do it with a bow and arrow or a spear.

You need to have a little better listening comprehension... yeah he says it looks bad but also completely understands the necessity for it

And lets not put Joe "The Almighty Hunter" Rogan on a pedestal here like he's the voice of everything hunting.

Right, I just don't get why someone would want to pay top dollar to go over there and have a guide drive you out to the giraffe and say, "hey, shoot that one over there."

Boo, it ain't that simple. I don't know about that particular animal but with many exotic hunts, they could have been tracking that thing for days to killed that specific one.

Read it, baw.

Still dumb to do and just gives anti-hunter crowds the ammunition they want. Some are capable of seeing things from multiple perspectives.

And you if she NEEDED to kill the animal, it’s dumb as frick to post all kinds of stupid arse photos the way she did. Again, it gives the anti-hunt crowd the ammunition they want

Well known by who?

No one in Zimbabwe or the US had ever heard of this "Cecil" before the incident

It was known by the people that worked in the preserve. That's all
