I think Security cameras are great and encourage people to set them up.
That being said, my wife and I had our cars burglarized a couple years ago. We left the cars unlocked but nothing was taken. They were clearly after cash, electronics, and guns, none of which we keep in our cars overnight.
But since then, everynight when I'm checking to make sure all of the doors in the house are locked, I grab both sets of keys and just lock our cars from right inside the house.
My car honks when you hit lock twice, her's beeps.
I've done this every single night.
Since then, but before we moved, there were two other times where neighbors had their cars burglarized and shite stolen, and our cars were locked.
These assholes aren't going to break a window to get into a car unless they see a gun or a bag of cash sitting on a seat in plain view.
They're literally just pulling door handles to see whats open. That is 98% of car burglaries.
If your cognizant about locking your cars every night when locking your house, you're likely to never have your car burglarized again.
TLDR: We were burglarized because we left our cars unlocked, I consciously lock our cars no everynight, havent been burglarized since then even though neighbors have, criminals arent going to break into a car, they want the easy unlocked car grab

very true.. more times than not its strictly unlocked door handles. and yes, i too go out of my way to make sure my shite is locked however, I've got the cameras, because i want to catch the mammy frickers that are on my property pulling on my door handles. a lot of people say lock your shite and you'll have no worries... not me brah... i want to catch their arse

Do you have a Costco or Sam's membership? They sell a simple wireless system that has a true infrared sensor.
