I'm right at 200 lbs. I could prob crank 15-20 depending how I feel that day. Bench isn't my strong point tho.

I weigh 215.

Part of my daily pre-workout warm up is 4x15 of 225.

I do a burnout of 225x30 as my last exercise on flat.

So, 215x40?

Ok. I'm doing legs today so I'll just have my buddy record my 225. Is 30 the number you want? Maybe 35? I'm being serious, I'm a competion power-lifter so it's honestly not a problem.

Completely different kind of strength. Functional vs powerlifting

Partially true. But yes, it is a different kind of strength. In college they don't focus on flat bench or at least when I played. Where in powerlifting the focus is on maxing out the power three lifts, Deadlift, Squat, Flat bench.

I powerlifted for a year not too long ago and was #1 in Louisiana in my weight class in the state meet.

My PL total now is... ~1145ish non-equipped.

I weigh 215. I can do 225 lbs 12 times. So I'm assuming I can do 215 lbs 16 times.

I'm 215 right now.

This week benched 250 x 12 reps
Then benched 275 x 8
Max bench was 315.

So, I bet I could bench 215 20-25 times pretty easily. Maybe 30, but that is a ton of reps.

Nah.. Rule of thumb is typically 2 reps for every 10 lbs +/-.

If you hit 225x12, you will get 215x14, not 16.

I work out a lot but my bench is pretty weak. I have a lanky build. If I could do one rep at 205, I'd be surprised.
