Currently looking for a new gym. The one in my apartment isn't built for anything other than light lifting and cardio and NOLAXtreme fitness just closed down

You sure about that? I don't think I pay any extra.

Yeah, they asked me which membership I wanted and I said only the local one.

I've heard it go off a few times but for no reason. There was one time a group of guys were loudly grunting, dancing around, and punching each other in the gut to get pumped up for bench and the alarm didn't go off on them so I don't know what sets it off

It went off a good bit the week I was in Slidell but I think it was just overly sensitive. It wasn't a crowded gym by any means and there weren't a lot of bros.

I did see the occasional construction worker on his lunch break come in and start throwing weights around.

I'm at Anytime. 38 a month, no contract, and it's on my way to and from work and home.

That's convenient. My gym is only on the way to work. I'd pay a little extra to have it there on the way home.

When did you sign up? The anytime near my house is about $50 a month and that's if you lock in for a year.

I would consider mine an old school Snap. It has 150 lb dumbbells and all the necessary racks. Only 30 a month.

Once my year was up it went to month to month. The $38 is just their basic fee I reckon. I was kind of caught off guard when they told me I didn't have to actually renew my contract.

The rates aren't universal. Mine is $68/month for a family plan after the 10% discount anytime gives employees of my company. Then my employer pays half of the 68. Also I'm on an open ended contract.

So was I. That's a good deal.
