OT Urology doctors

Not able to get an appointment with my primary urologist until next week ... in the meantime ...
Recently had vasectomy done (July). Had a "complication" that caused me to be in recovery (outside of the doctor's office)for a longer period of time. Once healing process was complete, no issues. Until Wednesday of this week.
I now have a sharp pain on the left side of my boys. The best way to describe my pain is to cup your hand and then take your fingers and jab yourself (or someone else) in the neck.
Don't believe it to be "torsion." And as far as I know, wife is not banging a BBC on the side, nor do I have a side piece - failing the requirment by the OT.
Ice and Aleve have helped, but only temporary - and wearing "tighter" underwear (Saxx) to provide better support.
Any other suggestions in the meantime? Assuming it's some type of infection? Or hoping it is ... don't want the "C" word ...

Seems perfectly reasonable. It's not like he said he had a runny nose. Recent surgery, pain in that area... go to the ER. Especially since it's your boys you are talking about.

I'd rather use this as my last option, only because there are people who are in far worse condition that I am that need the ER more than I do.

Did you tell your doctor's office staff what is going on? They should be able to work you in or get you in to see someone else today considering it's Friday. If they don't help you, your doctor is pretty terrible.

I only spoke with the front desk for appointments ... and now have a call into my doctor's nurse.

Sometimes the absolute worst thing to do is google your symptoms. The worst shite possible pops up, but it's your peen area bro - nothing to mess with. I doubt it's "serious" in nature if there's no redness, swelling, or an unusual lump down there. You should be col until Monday, but I would make an appointment and continue the NSAIDS/ice til then as needed.

You will more than likely end up with little to no complications. It's really not that bad --- for most people.
For me, I ended up getting 6 shots in the "area." Why? The lidocaine (or whatever they used), didn't work the first 5 times. Yeah. That. And no exaggeration. I could feel everything in terms of what was going on down there while being worked on. Wasn't fun.

For as long as 2-3 years afterwards I would have episodes like your having. Brief, but painful as frick.

You're right that the tighter underwear helps. Everything in there is still slightly swollen, so banging it around in boxers (among other activities
) causes the epiditimytis. I think I usually get steroids and a few days of briefs to make it go away. Regularly working in briefs to the underwear rotation has helped prevent it for me.
