one day flying in ATC airspace overheard a controller refer to an IAI Westwind as a "jew canoe"

What are some others you've heard?

We use to call our GIIB "the space shuttle" because it was loud as heck and smoked like it was on fire at takeoff

The Astra has the same Westwind nickname. It seems to be dying off a little now as the G150

it's a shame with all the noise restrictions nowadays. GIII used to wake up the whole neighborhood, and now you can barely hear the 550. it's a damn shame

Can't think of any right now but ATC loves when you call the TCAS the fish finder.

Early in its service life, the B-26 Marauder was termed the "Widowmaker" due to high accident rate. That is until Doolittle showed them a thing or two...

Anytime a soviet/Russian aircraft is referred to as a "vodka burner" makes me

Navajo = never go; Calling any Gulfstream a g-string

Another, the F-104 was dubbed both the "Flying Coffin" and also the "Widowmaker" where even experienced pilots found the plane very demanding and unforgiving.

Q: when you see 4 C-5s on the ramp and two are on jack stands, what does that tell you?

A: the facility only has two jack stands

Jetstar..now there's an environmentally friendly aircraft.

And speaking of the TCAS/fish finder remark, I had a captain that would reach over and slap me if I ever checked in with ATC by saying "with you.."
