Van's Aircraft RV-3. I ordered an info pack for this plane years ago, and I've always been a fan of Van's.

People sometimes call them "micro fighters."

Here's a kit-built P-51 (3/4 scale) replica called the Thunder Mustang. This plane has a Falconer V-12 engine and has performance that is equal to, or better, than the actual P-51. You can own one for $300K!

I think some of those smaller planes wear a fake mustache to hide their shame of not having real engines.

I like them. You hear of crashes here and there but generally pilot error. They seem top notch for an experimental category plane and used are very affordable.

I almost pulled the trigger on a Grumman tiger the other day, but the preinspection found issues with the spar. Knew the price was too good to be true.
Im a huge fan of canopy planes.

This plane drinks "only" 22 gallons/hour, while the original drinks 50 gallons/hour. At a southern regional average of $6/gallon, that's not very economical, but I bet that's a hoot to fly.

years ago I knew a guy that had a KingAir who wanted to go on a hunting trip and asked if I knew how to fly it, me: "does it have wings?" so I took another old fighter pilot baw out to the airport to sit in it and try to figure out how to start it, he kept looking outside to the left and right with a puzzled look, I asked him wtf? he said he couldn't figure out why there six thrust levers and only two engines

I would love to have a 2-seat Grumman American Yankee AA1, especially with a tailwheel conversion. My only issue with those planes is the castering nosewheel, but the TW conversion would of course eliminate that. My late flight instructor told me years ago those are some of the best airplanes for the money.

Here you go!

How do you know that's not one of those exotic monoprops?

Do you see a second blade?

Are you in the BR area, 777? I may be seeking some refresher instruction before too long when I retire, as I haven't been a PIC since 1998.

You havent lived until you cup a prop doing touch and go's in a Mooney with a low-time pilot and a wad of pine trees coming at you at the end of the runway.

Hitting the runway with the prop.

Accidentally pulled the gear up, prop hit the runway.

Pilot was transitioning from a 172 to a retract-gear Mooney.
