My father in law got my 5 year old one of those several hundred dollar battery operated cars last year. The box that held the box was fricking washer boxer huge. She played in that for 2 hours before they FORCED her to try the car. Then she went back to the box.
Kids don't GAF about dollar figures. They care about perceived fun. You really want to get a kid a good present? Either get a box or just order something like this:
