OT Neurologists, how common is it for non elderly people to have strokes?

Just found out one of our friends had one. Female, forties, non smoker, a little overweight but nowhere near morbidly obese. She was adopted, so don't know hat her family medical history is. Scary stuff.

Wow! I hadn't thought about it in years, but I had a friend who I played baseball with. He had a stroke when he was 9 years old.

Not eating + drinking way too much + no blood circulation (like driving or laying in bed) will cause you to have a stroke even in your 20's.

I have a stroke every time Treon takes a snap for UF. Your friend should stop complaining. Sounds like she only had the one.
