may as well because the cologuard disclaimer is if you test positive you should get a colonoscopy, so what's their purpose?

Because it could save you from needing the colonoscopy?

This. The prep is pretty rough, but the procedure itself is a walk in the park.

Plus they give you the Michael Jackson cocktail before they stick a camera up your arse.......you wont remember a thing

Why would you deny yourself that delicious prep drink?

Why would you take the drink when you can just take the pills?

I've had 2 Colonoscopies and both times I just took the pills....frick that drink

I've been told by more than one Dr. that those tests are often skewed and give false results. If it comes up positive for an issue then it's time to get a colonoscopy to make sure.

And if it comes up negative and it's a false reading, you are delaying getting treatment to help with any issue you may be having.

I figure it's just easier on the mind to just get the damn colonoscopy and be certain of the results.

I need to schedule my colonoscopy. What's the thoughts here from the OT.

If you have a friend who's a Gastro, would you prefer to let them do it or one of his partners? I'm torn on this one, literally and figuratively.

Cologuard has been calling and texting me nonstop about getting my shite. I just don’t really want to shite in a box. Nor do I want a colonoscopy

Cologuard experience

Avoid it

False positives are too high
False negatives are too high

Popular with insurance companies, as saves them paying out for a colonoscopy but bad for the patient. Would not play the house in Vegas with similar odds when it is a preventable death sentence if you actually have a doctor check with 100% certainty.

Do you think they ship the sample unprotected? If they didn't have a return label saying Cologuard on it, you'd never know what it is. Its wrapped up like any other biohazard.

to give people with no history of colon cancer in their family a choice to not have to endure all that is required with an actual colonoscopy.
I certainly wouldn't advocate for never getting a colonoscopy, but Cologuard has its place. I don't see it as any different from getting a PSA blood test as opposed to a finger shoved up your arse for prostate exam.

OP I can only assume you are functionally retarded or fat as frick if you couldn't execute the Colorguard procedure without issue.

Dude, get a colonoscopy. This colorguard bullshite is just that. Trash. False readings, can't tell about polyps, etc.

I'm going to piggyback off this and hope people read it.

You also may want to avoid this for insurance purposes. ACA covers colonoscopies if they are preventive. However, if you pop positive on cologuard that requires a subsequent colonoscopy to confirm, they are not ACA preventive services.

Just do the real thing at the beginning and avoid the bullshite and get a comprehensive and accurate diagnosis.

It was easy as hell to shite in the cup... but mine came back positive so I had to do the colonscopy anyway. Had a few polyps that they removed.

The worst part was the temu gatorade prep solution.
