Weed or CBD. It helps with inflammation and pressure. I don’t suggest smoking it because she could catch a cough fit and exacerbate her pain, but if you can find edibles, that’s the ticket. Why this shite isn’t legal already is beyond me.

“Treat your own Neck”
Book by McKenzie. About 9 dollars on amazon. If none of that other shite has helped May as well try. Can be very beneficial.
Also are the discs actually herniated or bulging?
Where in Louisiana are you. I’d look for a McKenzie certified PT as they are generally excellent with the spine and they will actually teach you how to help yourself instead of some jackoff who just slaps an e-stim machine on you for 20 mins and has you do a bunch of bullshite unrelated exercises. I’ve been a PT for 13 years and you have to find a good one or you’re just wasting your money.

I know this sounds crazy but the migraines might also be related to the neck. I've seen it. She might need to try a facet injection or a nerve root injection instead of the epidural. If she is desperate enough for surgery I would see Andrew Cordover at Andrews Sports in Birmingham. He treats lots of NFL players and the like and is very, very good at doing necks.

She needs to see a neurosurgeon.

She need Botox injections in her scalp every 3-4 months.

I was in a car wreck years ago and I get migraines 2-3 days a week as a result. It’s a neck injury likely causing her issues. I have extensive occipital nerve damage. She might be experiencing something similar called occipital neuralgia. You need to see an ortho and neurologist.

Any preceding injury? I’m guessing if the herniations were bad enough/compressing a nerve root, she would already be seeing a neurosurgeon. Maybe check a CT/MRI of the head as well? Make sure there is not something in the brain (bleed/tumor) causing unilateral weakness, numbness and a headache?

Bulging/herniated cervical disc is pinching a nerve and causing the arm pain I'd wager. If it were lumbar disc the pain would be in the legs.

Any other diagnostic tests? EMG? Is pain radiating from neck to a specific area of the arm/hand? Check her bicep reflex and spurlings test (google it). If hyperreflexic, see a neurosurgeon. Again, worsening headache with arm pain and numbness needs a CT of the head. Can’t blame it all on the bulging/herniated disks without ruling out something worse.

PT and aleve. I had an MRI last month that showed a bulging disc between C5 and 6. Neurosurgeon said it doesn’t require surgery yet and prescribed PT and traction. I’m 2 weeks in and there is already a noticeable difference. I had tingling and numbness in my left arm. Mainly at the biceps and down to my thumb. Not the rest of my hand. And nothing between the elbow and thumb. Just those two spots. Mainly when I bent over and the therapist noticed it was when I bent my neck back. I still get some tingling but it seems to stop at the elbow now and not down to the thumb. The therapy isn’t bad at all and it is designed to strengthen the neck.

Gabapentin has worked for me. I have same issues. DR Posas at Ochsner Baptist is GREAT. Good luck.

Cervical cord is pinching or compressing a nerve. Methinks.
