OK OT mechanic baws.

2015 Chevy Suburban, 2WD with NO 'Magnetic Ride' suspension.

Nice clean vehicle with low miles for a 2015. Problem is the vehicle rides like a freaking M1 Abrams tank.

A couple of mechanics looked it over and everything checks out good.

I am have heard that there are after-market kits that can be installed to make the vehicle ride good.

I called Arnottindustries and they only offer rear struts for this year vehicle.

What say the OT baws?

TIA

You bought a truck and you're mad that it rides like a truck?

Trade it in for a Buick Sedan if you want to float on a cloud like Princess Peach

That vehicle shouldn’t ride that rough. I would suspect the wrong or overinflated tires or something like that.

Is this your first full size SUV? Like the other guy said, it is a truck frame with a family hauling body bolted on it.

Nope have not bought it. Possibly looking to purchase vehicle.

I know there are after-market suspension kits that can be installed on vehicles to make them ride better.

I have yet to find one to fit a 2015 Chevy Suburban

Vehicle checks out good so far.

The wife loves it and the price seems right.

She wants a good riding big SUV that doesn't feel like shes driving a Sherman tank.

Paging Hammertime or anyone else who has added an 'after-market' suspension kit on this one.

Does it have large OD rims and low profile tires?

If so that is your problem.

Weird. There has to be something for a 2015 vehicle.

Usually it's just a matter of buying softer springs. Does that vehicle even have springs or does it use airbags?

I looked at the vehicle briefly, drove it a little and it was pretty late.

I am gonna check it out a little more closely tomorrow.

To be continued...

The less rubber between the road and the rim the worse it will ride.

Replace the shocks with something good like Bilstein and also check your tire PSI and find what rides the best.

eta: The DIY would probably take an afternoon if you're somewhat mechanically inclined and have the time. It will probably save you $400 on installation.

Shocks will not make it ride like a tank. Shocks and struts control the rebound rate.

I am certain it does not have struts.

I can't see a full size and very heavy Surburban riding that harsh.

Suburbans are known for being very good riding vehicles. Something is mostly wrong.

2015 Chevy Suburban,

change the torque converter. if it feels like your riding on speed bumps, that's the problem. about 75% of this year model had to do so.

Need a lot more info. Suburbans usually ride great and should not need any aftermarket suspension. The usual things you can do to change suspension are add spring spacers and swap shocks (usually aftermarket shocks are more firm and heavy duty for offroad use), neither of these things will dramatically improve the ride of an IFS vehicle over stock.

1.) what is the tire pressure of all tires?

2.) what size are the tires?

3.) what is mileage of the vehicle?

4.) is everything stock?

If everything is stock and tire size and pressure is normal, I would bet you are getting up there in miles (over 70k) and the front magnetic coil-over struts are bad and probably need to be replaced.
