I'd be surprised if Tony is convicted of much, primarily because racing is a dangerous sport, and really dangerous if you get out of your car without the help of emergency personnel.
After watching the video no less than a dozen times, with the volume turned up loud, I'm convinced that Tony tried to brush Kevin out of the way... Kevin was closer to Tony's car than Tony realized and/or Tony's car jumped to the right a little more than he expected... Kevin gets tangled up and dies.
It's obvious to me that Tony bumped the gas exactly when he was next to Kevin. I can SEE and HEAR it. If you can't, you're just trying to ignore it.
It doesn't make sense that Tony would bump the gas as he was approaching a car that was facing backward on the track, on the wall.
The track was yellow, and all the drivers should have been looking for track personnel, debris, etc on the track... not just blindly driving around.
Doesn't matter what I think, but anyone that comes on here and reads the self-proclaimed race experts calling anyone else's opinion as garbage, needs to look closely at the video themselves.
Tony won't be convicted, but his ego on the track will cost him. And costs Kevin his life.

Pit lane on pavement during the day with two of other people in bright clothes isn't exactly the middle of a turn on dirt at night by yourself in a dark suit.
i realize that. but it was the helmet throwing behavior that KW was trying to imitate. KW and KW alone is to blame for the accident.

Winning the Sprint Cup in 2011 would make me disagree. Ask Carl Edwards if he thought Tony was relevant in 2011.
Tony Stewart has always shown a lot of emotion. He is hardly the hot head of NASCAR as many in the main stream media has said recently. That award would go to Kyle or Kurt Busch IMO.
I'll agree to your Buschs point but I see a tamer Stewart ever since 2011. More mature maybe? Certainly not the guy that purposefully makes a run at a guy that is mad at him.

This is the TigerDroppings. The posters here know everything.
I am laughing at all the people who think that a dirt track must be full of dust.

the argument of the guys in your corner have stated this many times throughout the other thread. Did you call them out?

There is a giant difference is saying dirt gets flung up compared to saying there is dust all over the track. Are you sure you're not confusing what was said?

So out of the literally tens of thousands of bumps and spins in the history of just NASCAR alone, you find two examples in conditions that only a retard could argue were even remotely similar.
You, sir, give debate a bad name.

Caution is out. Maybe its Kevin, as I did run him into the wall on the last lap. There might be some track workers or emergency personnel on the track... I might better pay attention.
Your ignorance shows yet again. Smoke knows track workers aren't out yet. THEY HAVE BETTER SENSE THAN TO GET OUT ON A TRACK WHILE THE DRIVERS ARE STILL IN THE GETTING SLOWED DOWN MODE.

You should read the rest of his posts. The dude has made up his mind, but just won't admit that.

quote:What's hypocritical is that the same people who are saying this are also saying "how can one of the best drivers in the world do this on accident when the other cars missed him?"
I think some are arguing he tried to show the kid up by throwing a little dirt on him and misjudged things leading to a tragic result
No one is saying that he killed him on purpose. Yet the people who think he's somewhat at fault seem to be leaning on him being some super great driver who was purposefully trying to get that close and "those other amateurs missed him!!!11". So then he's a bad driver right?

Bicycles are not dirtbikes FYI.

Positive.
Now enlighten me with your point about dirtbike racing. I am sure it will have something to do with dirt being flung into your face? How is that relevant with TS?
