You'd think from the wise folk in this thread that his agenda is killing white folks and shitting on their lunch

Question to the OT, should there be hip hop at the Grammys?

well perhaps he should put the lyrics up on a screen behind him instead of the jail cells- cause not a single word of that tirade was understandable.

It's a pro black album. He said he made the album for people in jail or those that can't afford to come to shows. Something to listen to and really think about. It's all about loving yourself no matter what society may say or what your situation me be regardless of how trapped you may feel. You don't get 11 nominations for nothing.

This. Some of the tighty whiteys here have trouble appreciating the art called music without judging. Just wait til Luke Bryan comes on singing meaningful lyrics about trucks and beer and they'll settle down.

Y'all idiots don't even realize Kendrick caught massive flack for saying things like maybe we should give the police the benefit of the doubt last year. Got called Uncle Tom and Cornball by retards like Azelia Banks. He actually calls out the bullshite in our community before pointing the finger elsewhere.

This is the last verse of the song that has so many of you butthurt in here:

quote:
Two tribal armies that want to build and destroy
Remind me of these Compton Crip gangs that live next door
Beefin' with Piru's, only death settle the score
So don't matter how much I say I like to preach with the Panthers
Or tell Georgia State "Marcus Garvey got all the answers"
Or try to celebrate February like it's my B-Day
Or eat watermelon, chicken, and Kool-Aid on weekdays
Or jump high enough to get Michael Jordan endorsements
Or watch BET cause urban support is important
So why did I weep when Trayvon Martin was in the street?
When gang banging make me kill a **** blacker than me?
Hypocrite![/quote]
Well why didn't you say this in the first place? This changes everything!

Not true. The single he won a Grammy for is literally has a chorus that repeatedly chants "We gonna be Alright"

Every artist is too political now. It's getting down right annoying

More than that I flat out do not like his style, his beats, or his rhymes. He made maybe one song I've ever liked in his career.

Do you get your rocks off just posting things like that? It is like the third time you have said something to that effect in the last 5 mins.

I couldn't understand a word when he sang it, and I can't really understand a word now that I'm reading it.
