is that ok etiquitte for the range? I don't have headphones but I do have a jambox

Seriously, if your back hurts from golf, you're swinging too hard.
You shouldn't be in excessive pain from a round. A little pain is normal, especially if you've been getting the business all day, and you're demoralized.

They play that on the patio overlooking the first tee at Bartholemew.
They wouldn't mind that on a jambox by the range. Pretty sure. Just call the pro shop and check.

I'm definitely swinging too hard. Guy I was paired up with is pretty good and he mentioned it to me a few times. Yesterday was a rough day too and I was pretty frustrated by the time we made the turn..
eta the roughs were really dense too and I could feel a small twinge in my back on a couple swings.

So what did you learn?

When you figure it out, it'll click for you. You'll realize how hard you were swinging, how bad that is, and why you're in pain.
That's why I said you have to beat it out of the dirt. Work smarter baw, not harder.
Look at Ryno, for example. Dude hammered the ball for years. Now his bitch arse back is broken like a hymen on a see saw.
Don't be that guy when you turn 40......don't break your hymen on a see saw.

thanks for the tips though. I'm going to take it easy this week and go back at it next week with a different frame of mind

ok cas4t, this was the first video that pops up on youtube and pretty much hits the nail on the head. remember, we don't know for sure this is the problem, but it sure as hell can't hurt to start working on this
TS mobility You dont have to do a million different drills. just find one that works and stick with it. all those sidling ones are great, but you don't need to do them all. they're pretty much all the same thing. work on extension first (like the 1st one on the roller), then rotation.

can't hurt
I need a foam roller
Posted on 8/24/15 at 9:46 pm to cas4t
get the black one. if it's too firm, you can always soften it up with a towel and progress up to it. don't waste your money on the fancy ones. bullshite with knobbys or ridges or ones that vibrate or some shite. if you're spending more than $25, it's too much

I actually have a buddy who had IT Band/back issues and used a foam roller. He's already said I could borrow it.
he has a legit excuse though for his geriatric ways since he played LB in college.

Thank you so much Lester. I did those stretches last night and it's the first night in months that I slept through the night without waking up 100 times in back pain.
