I was laying on the couch and started feeling really strange, I felt something run down my throat and hocked it up and its blood with clots in it. Started hurting in the back of my head and feeling confused, had some pain in my abdomen but I also have hernias so I didn't think anything of it. I've never felt like this before. Going to the ER in a little bit. I'm trying to convince myself it's nothing but I know me and something is definitely fricky. Aneurysm? I have high blood pressure and also have a dog bite right now on my leg.

It’s definitely rabies.

Yep. Definitely. With a side of brain tumor.

My first thought would have been "go ask the OT", not "go ask a Dr"

My best friend is a doctor and I can't get him on the phone, count. Google is second fiddle to the OT's medical expertise, so here I am.

This sounds pretty similar to when I found out I had a blood clot in my brain. Although I didn’t spit up blood, I did have headaches in the back of my head near my neck and confusion. Get it checked fa show

Thank you. I had a TBI two years ago so this isn't real fun. I'm afraid to try and drive if SHTF and I pass out I'd rather not hurt someone else too.

Call your primary care physician first, when connected with the messaging service leave a message for them or the doctor on call and get better direction before going to the ER

If you have a PCP that only has an answering machine and/or no after hours service, go to the ER and find a new PCP on Monday

“Thunderclap headache” could be a sign of a brain bleed.

This is why we have ERs. Time is urgent. You should already be gone. It may be nothing but you may need a CT ASAP.

Have someone drive you.

100% go to the doctor. No reason to let that happen and not get it checked out.

Only reason not to would be if you are in a very dry climate after having been in a humid climate. My nose bleeds every time I go to the mountains from elevation and lack of humidity.

Could be nothing but a one-off nose-bleed. Presumably you're not on blood thinners? Someone was joking about the vax, but if you've been vaxxed or boosted in the last couple of days, there are rare SEs which would need to be ruled out.

Can you take your BP though? High blood pressure could account for much of what you're describing, and if that's the case, it's something you'll want to get taken care of quickly.
