There is a whole list of things a pregnant woman cannot eat/drink. Many of them are obvious, some you may not have ever thought of as potentially harmful.

Yes. It cost me $150 for jewelry with birthstone.

Wife's happy, friends are happy, family is happy.

I just decided $150 was an easy win. I can find a better way to "make a stand" against stupid purchases.

After the thousands of dollars you spend on a baby, $150 sure isn't much to have something your wife can wear that makes her think of her child.

Just think in a couple of months that will be less than a week of daycare.

Actually, I wouldn't be upset if my husband bought me some personal training sessions or made sure to offer to take care of baby so I could have the time to work out.

No need to justify your purchase.

I actually believe the "hell naw I didn't get that woman anything" and "a baby was her present" people need to explain themselves more than someone who thought a gift showing your wife appreciation for giving YOU a child was a good idea.

a truly good mother would rather you spend the money on the child, not a useless piece of arm candy.

A truly good father can provide for both.

WTF?

A truly good husband wouldn't consider it a nuisance to get his wife a little something to show appreciation for carrying his child and birthing it.

A truly good father wouldn't consider his child a gift only to his wife, but to both of them.

Whoa, being stupid is fun!

I think it's a pretty stupid idea.
