OT cops - why is stealing people's money ok?

Had this discussion yesterday with some buddies. Every single person I've known who had a DUI had all of their cash stolen while in the clink. Which of you will own up to doing this, and why are you ok with this?

They all said the same thing. When they inquired about it the cops said "what money?" You can't go to court and fight something you can't prove.

Just curious, how many buddies with past DUI's do you have? Trying to establish a sample size.
