I have a gun, a badge, and I occasionally arrest people. Same difference.

Nah...
Big difference between Feds and Cops right here, pay attention OT, you might learn something.
With Cops, the more there are, the safer you are. It's very easy for one cop to get his story straight, but they just aren't smart enough as a group to hold it together.
With Feds, The more there are, the more fricked you are. One Fed "coming to chat" is a fed coming to chat. Two Feds "coming to chat" means they are going to back up each others story and are probably smart enough to do so, so you are about to get fricked.
If you are actually a Fed you know EXACTLY what I am talking about.

I've got a guess.
Would you and the Wright family have something in common? Lol.

Of course they still do. Pop someone with a weed charge then the offender will spend COPIOUS money in the court system. Petty bullshite like this is what keeps the judges, cops, prison guards working and the system so big. It's all a huge racket. Open your eyes!

No. And there is no reason to let him go.
They shouldnt let drunk drivers go because they're nice.
Smoke in your house, in your shed, in your yard, whatever, but doing drugs and driving is never going to be acceptable.

A few weeks ago I was talking to a sheriff's office unit chief at SELU and he's teaching a criminal justice class there. It was a total random meeting as I was on campus for business.
We got around to talking about the WoD and he told that he is 95% sure that weed will be legal in Louisiana with 7-10 years and New Orleans will be booming with it. And he works for a sheriff's office that isn't exactly urban or even suburbia.

Thanks for trying troll, but better departments require at least a college diploma
No they don't. Most just require X number of hours or military experience or prior LE experience of a combination of the three.
Not even state agencies like LSP or LDWF require college degrees.

Calling police unskilled because they aren't doctors, is ignorant..
Ehh... See Jordan v. City of New London (2nd Cir. 2000) holding that police departments have a compelling state interest in preventing intelligent people from becoming police officers. It's unpublished but still AMAZING. You can be too smart to be a cop... I really don't know of any other fields where intelligence actually makes you a worse candidate for the job.
