Unfortunately it’s less about cost and more about lifestyle.

My eldest daughter says she’ll never have children, and at her age I’d say she’s going to stick with that. She’s headed to France for her 2nd or 3rd vacation this year.

My youngest just bought a new house in the best school district in the area for her kids.

Same upbringing, completely different results. No idea how given how dedicated to family mine is.

however the people you are hoping will get abortions already get free birth control that they don’t use

So what makes you think they would be bribed into having an abortion?

Setup free birth control clinics that administer the pill monthly and pay them $100/month for taking it. Only in certain neighborhoods of course.

Put birth control, plan b and condoms in free vending machines in every grocery store and fast food restaurant.

How does the OT reconcile with abortion regulation stopping sensible people from having kids?

I think I speak for everyone when I say we would encourage you and your liberal wife to go ahead and move now in case she gets pregnant on accident.

You still haven't given an example of what "going sideways" means.

I'd love to see data on which percentile on the income chart is pumping out the most kids, but I have a bunch of where that will look like.

Yes. It’s an incredibly selfish view that many leftists have. They have no regard for the inherent value of human life.

Just have the kid and throw them into one of the many fine orphanages. Let us take care of them.

Lowering welfare benefits for single moms (and spreading out the money out to married families) and collecting child support more effectively would be a great start. You could also make paternity tests mandatory, make marriage licenses free, and increase the fee for divorce files.

Women would be less likely break up their families for selfish reasons. A marriage penalty definitely discourages people on the economic edges from getting married. A lot of dads would be less likely to walk if they knew there was some consequences.

If we're being honest, the world is better off with the least amount of democrat progressives being born as possible.

Conservatives don't abort their children, so over time, this problem should correct itself.
