$167 is the cheapest dates starting at the mid end of August, for July 11-17 I found united for $332. Usually it's more expensive to fly on Fridays than Saturdays or Wednesdays. For example, Thursday July 9- Wed July 15 is $197.

I'm not as familiar with UAL pricing on their hub-hub routes let alone houston, I'll gladly listen to your advice with what's usual

It was a great call out though! A lot of people probably aren't aware that they could go to Denver or Chicago for so cheap.
