Question for Catholics--do you tell the Preist "I got drunk and banged some sloot" during confession?" What's the response? Is it "your sins are forgiven" or do you have to say 20 Hail Marys and volunteer 20 hours in a homeless shelter for penance?

I have nothing to confess.

I've not been in over a decade. When I did go we had a really creepy priest at my HS that would ask if we beat off. Confession with this guy was more of a joke then anything. If you goto a legit priest is it more or less a free session with a shrink or life coach? Professional therapist sessions are pricy, like $200 a hour.

Had a Monsignor fall asleep when I confessed to losing my virginity. Have barely been back since.

Once every few weeks. Been doing it for about 3 years now, and it really helps clear my conscience and soul.

I ask for forgiveness every night before I go to sleep. I was raised Cathloic but I don't believe I have to have a mediator in order for my sins to be forgiven. I have my own personal relationship with God.
