Get a foam gun, two bucket method, use a pressure washer to knock stuff off, use the hose without a gun to hose off the soap after washing.

Serious question: what's the point of the foam gun if you're going to hand washing anyway? what does the foam do?
What's the difference between:
Foam
Pressure wash
Hand wash
and
Pressure wash
Hand wash

You are supposed to foam the whole car and let it seep. Repeat and then wash with a mit. The foam gun lets the soap raise micro dust particles into the bubbles and seep down the sides of the car. When I foam gun I usually apply, let sit for a few moments, rinse, foam gun again repeat and after that rinse I wash the car with a good mit or sponge.
Also yes there are better products than Meguiars Gold Class but they are also not easily available thus I don't use them weekly. I figure 99% of the battle is keeping the vehicle actually clean with the 1% remaining the difference in product used.
For the daily drivers I've been happy with Rejex sealant for its longevity. I also like Zaino. Interior I usually Lexol the leather surfaces and use the Meguiars cleaner that doesnt produce a shiny mess on all other surfaces. I hate shiny dashboard glare in the windshield.
I've got an old Porsche that sits under a car cover in the garage. I use a 3M step by step program on that includes a hand glaze.

This is actually comically ironic, since Zaino stopped being part of the discussion around the same time blackberry did. Good to see that there are still some surviving Zaino zealots, though. I remember 2005.

Wolfgang makes an all purpose spray for the interior. It's a little pricey but a little goes a long way.
