If it isn't evident already, you have to get out of places like Memphis. Even if you are wealthy enough to live in the "safe" suburbs, you will still have to visit the shithole parts to work, shop, or eat, like this unfortunate event.

There is no saving Memphis or its peer cities. Let them rot.

I live in Germantown and feel very safe...but you can bet that I'm locked and loaded if necessary.

Nope. If this was a white guy killing a black person, then the person would matter. Or if it was a cop killing a black person...

You get the picture. This killing doesn't fit the white supremacist lie, so we go to the gun.

I'm sure this surgeon lived in a nice suburb and felt very safe as well.

My office is in Germantown by TPC Southwinds/Fedex and I'll tell you I've seen my fair share of riff raff in the parking lot. Of course it's nothing like downtown but a good bit spills over.

I used to live right around there and that isn’t exactly a great area. 2 or 3 more miles and it’s fine, but southwinds is a shell.

That area around Hacks Cross sees its fair share of shenanigans. Go about a mile and a half west and you enter the hood.

I knew him in high school through CYO. He was a leader at one of the CYO retreats called Quest back in the late 90s. I hadn't thought of him until this news broke.

I just found out my brother had his finger operated on by him a few years ago. Also, a friend of mine who is a doctor in Memphis knows him through some other friends at the Campbell clinic.

He has a 3yo and a 1yo. I feel for them and his wife.
You just feel there is not a scenario in the world that he would not be coming home later that day after kissing and hugging him goodbye.

All the Campbell Clinics are closed today. I can't imagine the trauma these employees are going through.

I live about a mile from there. We have had the occasional car broken into but nothing super serious since we’ve lived here.

Yep. The new guard in Memphis is taking the road of lax enforcement, which breeds lawlessness.

Then Collierville and Germantown has better stuff the Memphis thugs want.

Couple that with no Berlin Wall between Memphis, Germantown, and Collierville and you have the inevitable.

Desoto County is running a tight ship to the south. They know they are going to jail for screwing around there. Remember the shooter that was driving around Memphis a while ago? Shooting random people? He turned around at the MS TN line because he knew the needle was in his future in MS if he shot people.

Shooter was off his psych meds and was pissed at the doctor for lowering his pain meds.

I doubt with Mulroy as DA, this ever goes to trial.

You hit the nail on the head. Killer is an opiate addict.

I did not wan to make assumptions in something like this, but that is what I was assuming.

The cancer ends up spreading all over unfortunately. The US social fabric has terminal cancer. Most of it orchestrated from in high.
