I've gotten pretty good at peeling the tail off with a knife and fork. The last time I did it, not only did I have to finish preparing my food myself, but when I looked up, all the people I was having lunch with were staring at me like I was an alien.

I bet the food reps are offering it to restaurants as a cheaper option, and saving the restaurant on food costs..
some of those reps will try to take over your whole menu if u arent careful..

Restaurants do this to make the food look better.

Price. Restaurants pay less for shrimp with tails on.

That’s not why they don’t take them off when cooking though.
