Geez. How long do you commute to and from work? Three plus hours to and from a seems excessive unless it is a very high paying job with no other options closer.

I’ll second Keith Walker as well, even though he is a tiger he is an alright guy! You can find a ton of options here and it has a bunch of the awesome without a bunch of the silly y’all have in Louisiana

Just closed on a house in Biloxi been here a couple years coming from New Orleans. There are ALOT worse places you could raise a family. Has everything you need here and only an hour or so drive into NOLA if you wanted it. Obviously BSL and Ocean Springs are the Crown Jewels but there are nice parts in Biloxi and Gulfport and the public schools in all of them are top notch.

there’s plenty of “play” houses in Gulfport and Biloxi we’ve liked. Just have not yet been quick enough on the trigger. How’s the weekend crowds/traffic?

I have a boat. I just need to find a place to accommodate the family and the boat. Would like to keep on a lift to just get in and go for a ride.

I've been living in Biloxi for the last few years. When I buy a house, I'll probably buy in Long Beach or Diamondhead. Pass Christian is great if you own a boat, as there's plenty of waterfront property, but it's all flood zone.

Coming from NOLA it might as well be like living in rural Kansas. Not enough to bother me at all.

Not from MS, but I really like the MS coast. You can get many of the advantages of the gulf minus the hordes of soccer moms. If you don't have kids, it will be great.

Do it. Beautiful/quiet area.

Enjoy saturday morning beach jogs
Casinos and live music (when it returns)
Fishing (not as good as louisiana)
Food is good enough
Republican governor

Only downside is hurricanes

My uncle retired from the USAF after being stationed at Kessler. Fast forward 25 years since then and he’s still there. They live in Gulf Port currently. I think if I moved down there I might go Ocean Springs but I can only base that off weekend trips throughout the years.

I grew up down here and I’ve been here a lot as an adult

Ocean Springs
Bay St Louis
Pass Christian
D’iberville
Biloxi
Long Beach
Gulfport

The Bay is slightly overrated when you consider real estate market right now, Pass is underrated considering the school district and proximity to the best things about Bay St Louis.

Are you telling me fishing in Biloxi/gulfport is better than going to Grand Isle or Venice?

If you have an opportunity to get out of Louisiana, you should jump on it.
