Operation Northwoods was a proposed operation against the Cuban government, that originated within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) of the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other US government operatives to commit acts of terrorism against American civilians and military targets, blaming it on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. The proposals were rejected by the Kennedy administration.

At the time of the proposal, communists led by Fidel Castro had recently taken power in Cuba. The operation proposed creating public support for a war against Cuba by blaming it for terrorist acts that would actually be perpetrated by the US Government (so called "false flag operations"). To this end, Operation Northwoods proposals recommended hijackings and bombings followed by the introduction of phony evidence that would implicate the Cuban government. It stated:

The desired resultant from the execution of this plan would be to place the United States in the apparent position of suffering defensible grievances from a rash and irresponsible government of Cuba and to develop an international image of a Cuban threat to peace in the Western Hemisphere.

Several other proposals were included within Operation Northwoods, including real or simulated actions against various US military and civilian targets. The operation recommended developing a "Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington".

The plan was drafted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, signed by Chairman Lyman Lemnitzer and sent to the Secretary of Defense. Although part of the US government's anti-communist Cuban Project, Operation Northwoods was never officially accepted; it was authorized by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, but then rejected by President John F. Kennedy. According to currently released documentation, none of the operations became active under the auspices of the Operation Northwoods proposals.

If you're wondering why I posted this, just look at Sandy Hook and other mass atrocities thru Operation Northwoods lenses...

But it was seriously proposed and delivered to JFK as a strategy. The fact that our government and military leadership even proposed attacking American citizens should alarm most people.

Just because JFK rejected it doesn't mean other presidents haven't considered a similar strategy.

Connect the dots, Darth.

So you don't believe that an Operation Northwoods was even proposed to JFK by government and military leadership regardless of the facts?

There is a batshite crazy former LaRouchie named Webster Tarpley who writes some interesting conspiracy stuff and he is always pointing to the Dulles/Dulles/Lemnitzer/Landsdale/Poppy Bush network and its progeny for a lot of shady incidents in this country's history. Or, as this guy puts it:

quote:

Nor, finally, is it in any way a "theory" that the one, single name that can be directly linked to the Third Reich, the US military industrial complex, Skull and Bones, Eastern Establishment good ol' boys, the Illuminati, Big Texas Oil, the Bay of Pigs, the Miami Cubans, the Mafia, the FBI, the JFK assassination, the New World Order, Watergate, the Republican National Committee, Eastern European fascists, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the United Nations, CIA headquarters, the October Surprise, the Iran/Contra scandal, Inslaw, the Christic Institute, Manuel Noriega, drug-running "freedom fighters" and death squads, Iraqgate, Saddam Hussein, weapons of mass destruction, the blood of innocents, the savings and loan crash, the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, the "Octopus," the "Enterprise," the Afghan mujaheddin, the War on Drugs, Mena (Arkansas), Whitewater, Sun Myung Moon, the Carlyle Group, Osama bin Laden and the Saudi royal family, David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, and the presidency and vice-presidency of the United States, is: George Herbert Walker Bush.

Paranoid Shift.

Trust me. I don't trust anyone from the cops to the top levels of the government. I just don't think these recent attacks are false flag.

the point of this thread is that most people refuse to believe that our government values the American people no more than cattle prime for slaughter regardless of historical evidence that proves the US government and military has conspired against the American people and have actually proposed attacking the American people to persuade the public to support war.

Have you ever read the book Overthrown? It was a required reading at UofH in my history class. Pretty interesting.
