Open letter to the national media from a Baton Rouge resident

Dear Media (and fat Gary),
I've lived in BR most of my life. I used to love it but no more. I hate it. I hate the traffic. We can't go 10 miles without some idiot wreck or bumper to bumper rubber necking. I hate the crime. It's rampant. No one respects each other's property and the politicians are too PC to give a damn. I hate the public schools. Worst in the nation.
Let the riots come. We won't be able to tell the difference from the day to day destruction brought upon us by our local leaders.

Hoss, if you truly believe this you're delusional. I can say it's not even a BR issue, it's a state issue. Plenty of places better to live than Louisiana. Problem is, a lot of us are from here and still love the idiosyncratic attributes that make it special, but it's losing its luster rapidly.
