So you are going to knock some people with kids, particularly younger kids, spending money on Disney world over Europe but you yourself only ventured as far as Bay St Louis?

What?

You keep adding fake details to what I'm saying. I never said my kids were 4 in Europe, never said I brought them to Paris or Louvre, nor did I say that was a good idea. OP said nothing about age of the kids. 4 years old is before memories are really permanent. Spending a ton of money on vacations at that age is silly to me regardless. Just an opinion.

If the kids are a bit older than that and we want to spend money on a big vacation, I'd never choose Disney over other options.

And I don't care what people do, I said "to each his own". I'm not knocking it as much as I'm saying I don't understand spending that much money on Disney. It's a message board with opinions and you seem very offended. Go enjoy Disney, I don't care what you do. I have plenty of good friends who bring their kids to Disney, it's just not for us.

And I've never been to Bay St. Louis beaches We live in Tennessee and have affordable lake houses to rent all around us and will drive to Florida for a beach week every Summer.

Calm down man.

Is 7 grand accurate for a good time there for a family from south LA?

My son has zero interest in it

A trip of that cost that comes with the amount of headaches and annoyances a trip to Disney comes with better be memorable

For you sure. I don’t find it that difficult or annoying at all.

You keep talking about your memories as an adult. A 3-4 year old isn’t going to remember shite 30 years later. It matters way more in the moment for them then creating some lasting memory.

We’re going this year. I’ve given my wife a general budget and just ask her not to tell me the rest

That’s fine. Then why critique others choices?

It's a message board, and I haven't been particularly confrontational I don't think. Just said I don't understand spending that sort of money on Disney.

My wife and I are of the opinion that amount of money should be spent on something other than that.

My kids and your kids will both have great memories of vacations, it's all good.

if a thread goes past about three pages on here it usually ends up in a sniping contest between 2-3 posters, don't know why we can't discuss things and just agree to disagree on here, sort of like a left v. right thing

$7k is plenty for 3 of you. You don't need to spend that much though, and can do it for way less. Lots of offers for example through disney + that offer discounted admission or percentages off resort stays.

We are in the process of booking everything. We are staying off property but the whole Disney experience is crazy. Granted this is our only trip for Disney and we are doing VIP at both Disney and universal.

Between this and carnival cruises, it’s one of the mysteries of life hiw trashy / ghetto people afford this.

Between Disney, tattoos, booze and cigarettes, it is quite baffling.
