Tecmo as in Super Tecmo bowl? If so I will frick people up in that game. There is only one person out of a bunch of people who was able to beat me consistently.
With the trick with the nose guard, the only plays you can run on me are shotgun plays which then gives me a 1 and 4 chance of picking the defense play that matches your offensive play and it's lights out..

He was on the original version, but not on Super Tecmo Bowl right? STB was better, but on TM Bo Jackson was a bad man.

Loved that game from day of release. Every kid I knew was damn good at it and we would get together constantly and have head to heads for a few bucks a game. Random team hat draw, though. I've seen some epic upsets that wouldn't seem possible but every once in a while they would. So dang fun. Still have my console. Still have my old Atari 2600 and Intellivision as well. All 3 work just fine.

We started the league in 1980 and ran a full draft of all available players from that year and have been running regular drafts since

I used to hand out arse whippings in my neighborhood on tecmo bowl. loved that game. The computer cheated like a bitch in the 4th quarter though.

One key to a win would always be a blocked extra point or two. Not all teams could rush fast enough for a block but for those that could it was a big big advantage.
