I bought a hotel through a booking service a few weeks ago. They said “we saved you $57 today. Would you like to leave a $6 tip”? when I checked out. Wtf

Ideally we wouldn’t have a culture in the US of businesses asking for additional money every time you buy something.

I hate tipping culture in the US. I would love to see us move away from it entirely. But with that said, it’s a culture, not a rule. Embrace or ignore it at your leisure.
