When I lived in Iowa I matched with a girl on Tinder and I met her at a restaurant bar and she was there with her kid. I noped out of there in a hurry.

This is why I don't swipe right on them unless I know 100% sure from their photos she isn't fat. If its only cropped face pics, not happening.
With that being said, if I match I do a little bit more research to make sure she isn't using 5 year old pictures and has blown up since. Find her instagram and social media accounts before agreeing to go out, I've saved myself from this several times because she uses pictures from college when she was thin and has gained 50 pounds and a 2nd chin since then.

If you got it, flaunt it is a virtue women live by. If they have a good body, they won't hide it on their social media/online dating profiles. They will show it off.

This. It tells me one of 3 things:
1. You’re not looking for anything serious so that information isn’t relevant. This one isn’t necessarily a bad thing if I’m just looking to smash a time or two.
2. She’s uncomfortable/ashamed that she has a child or children and she doesn’t or never had a husband. I mean if you have 2 kids by 2 separate men and you weren’t married to either of true fathers before conception, then you don’t make good decisions at all.
3. She’s a habitual liar and no one needs that in their life.

I feel like I have outgrown the casual hookups that these apps provide. There was once a time and place for that but it gets boring after a while and its natural to want something with a bit more substance.
I haven't used these apps since before COVID though. San Diego was frustrating since over half the profiles served to you were spanish speaking women that lived in Tijuana and if you aren't into latina women(I am not) then it definitely was not your scene because most of the USA side profiles shown to you were hispanic as well. It was rare to see white women on there. Never even bothered in Las Vegas because I knew I wasn't going to be living there long term and didn't want to meet someone that would tempt me to anchor myself there. Now that I moved to Fort Worth and am almost settled in I will probably be firing up these apps again pretty soon.

I could never raise another man's kid... people hate when I say that but its true.
People respond with things like "What if she was with a jerk who was mean to her?!?!? It's not her fault!" Yes it absolutely is. She chose to have a kid with a guy who was a jerk or a deadbeat, which shows she makes poor long term decisions.
If you date a single mom you will always, at best, be #3 in her life after her kid and the father of her kid.
Another one... "What if her husband died and she is a widow? That's not her fault!". Concept is still the same - you'll never be able to measure up. You will always be nothing more than a replacement. There are billions of women on this planet surely you can find one who hasn't been married and hasn't had kids yet.
My sister was trying to set me up with a girl we went to high school with and have known since elementary school who had 2 kids with 2 different dads by the time she was 17 years old. My sister was saying "She is ON FIRE for Jesus these days and has completely turned her life around!" and I don't care. Maybe a guy who is on fire for Jesus that is OK with taking on a woman with that kind of baggage can step up but it ain't going to be me.
