I still can't get any of the opposition to answered the question, if the vote for loses, does this mean the city incorporates the rest of the parish?

Well, part of that is true, and not a lie. St. George won't immediately establish a school district and will require those measures.

However, using the term "secessionist" is obvious bullshite, and everyone already knows that this won't create a school district.

Except I've seen anti-St. George propaganda just this week claiming how many students will be displaced. Well, which is it?

No. The status quo will remain in place.

But I don’t think there’s a chance in hell it doesn’t pass.

Same.

One is too crazy to put together a coherent thought.

The other is trying to be an attorney and can at least pretend to not be completely insane.

I'll let you all guess which one posted this.

No.

The city has zero authority to incorporate anything.

Residents have to petition for incorporation.

Can she please help out MOP on the inevitable case against St George?

I don’t think so. I think she’s just in her 2nd year at SU Law School. Which means she’s still light years from passing the bar. If she even does.

Of course it is Helmet. Kibbles wouldn't be able to compute math.

Of the 2, HH is somewhat more tolerable.

SU law? I see her taking the Vincent LaGuardia Gambini approach to the bar.

Pretty sure she’d have a better chance of actually passing if she took that route.

I'm sure they will. We have all heard for years now that we are better and stronger together as one city. So certainly they will take the opportunity to realize that message by incorporating the open areas and making sure that everyone receives the city services that they are being charged. I mean, if not, wouldn't that make them incredible hypocrites?

Well, she's correct.

The legislature will pass it will pass statewide, but it'll never pass parish-wide.

why not? it did for central, baker, zachary.

Are people really going to say "frick yo school bitch" and vote no for an area to build new schools since there aren't any there now?

May sound pompous but I think in securing the ISD the hardest egg to crack would be the parish vote

"More Magnet slots available for Baton Rouge City Residents if approved."

Are Baton Rouge City parents going to vote no to that?

Somehow I feel the message could delivered much differently from the BR politicians and news outlets. Mainly Advocate.

Central and Zachary will vote for it.

Baker is doubtful.

BR will vote against it because EBRPSS is on the verge of collapse. I have a feeling it can’t withstand the loss of money associated with property tax on 80,000 people.

It could end up happening but EBRPSS will fight tooth and nail to prevent it.

It's going to get a very high level of support from St. George, Zachary, and Central areas.
