in my oh so humble opinion, that hypothetical marriage wherein sex is freely given away to others for monetary compensation is a farce. But I won't condemn anyone for seeing the world a different way.

I will say that should we go down that road, I don't understand the need for marriage in the first place. What is it for if not for exclusivity?

I went back and re-read everything I had posted. I prefaced it all with "in my eyes", or "in my opinion", etc.
The status of a union between consenting adults and its overall legitimacy seems pretty subjective to me. I have my opinion on what that institution means, and I'm not going to dull my language because someone else sees the world a different way.
