One full day in Chicago next month

I love wrigley and have only been once. If i had one day in chicago i would go to wrigley again.

Assuming a day game, you still have a few hours before and after the game. Post game go to hancock tower

There's typically a festival going on every weekend in Chicago. I would do some digging and see what will be happening while you're in town.

I think taking in a game at Wrigley is every bit worth it. It's a fun ballpark and Clark Street bars will likely be lively, especially for a weekend game.

Try eating somewhere good. If you're into pizzas, there are places like Lou Malnati's, Gino's, and Pequod's.

Without doing much thinking, Girl and the Goat and Smoque are also very popular spots.

I went to Homeslice for the first time this weekend and that place is really fun. They have an back outdoor patio with makeshift seating in a Winnebago. It can get a little loud every several minutes with a passing train, but an overall good outdoor spot for drinks and appetizers.

I'd also take a stroll down Wells Street in Old Town. There are a lot of cool shops and bars along the way.

Another very popular in the Wicker Park area is Big Star. Quite the eventful place on a warm day, but the wait for a table can be extensive.

If you're looking to get real touristy, I'd recommend going to Grant Park, Millennium Park, and the museum campus.

I'd skip the Cubs game strictly because you only have one day. As you know, MLB games push 4 hours. Wrigley is truly a special place, but there is more to Chicago than the Cubs. Hang around and grab a few beers around the Clark & Addison area to get the "Wrigley experience" without investing 4 hours into the game.



I suggest walking along the river at the Chicago Riverwalk and enjoying its beautiful color and great architecture.



Even though it is touristy, check out Cloud Gate at Millennium Park.



From there, stroll on over and check out the Chicago Theatre.



It can take up some time, but I would check out The Field Museum.



If you want to go the "Chicago food route", I suggest Jay's for an Italian beef sandwich and Pequod for deep dish.

If cubs are playing try and get bleacher or roof top seats. Then bar hop around wrigleyville. Fun area during and after games.

Agreed

I was there at 6pm on a Sunday night and it was dead. Even had there been a lot of people there I'm not sure it seems like an interesting place to be. It's like a convention center with some arcades and a Ferris wheel for kids.
