Growing up in a place is one thing, but you saying "at least I live somewhat close to a state that has a baseball team" isn't exactly the best way to reflect that it makes someone less of a fan.

My dad flies with boudin from Jerry Lee's (5 lbs. or so) from NO to Chicago every time he visits. He buys it frozen.
He just wraps it in a few paper towels, then aluminum foil, and ziplocs it up and puts in in the middle of his clothes...he's done this at least 10-15 times and its almost always still frozen.
Never had any issues at the airport
