quote:

It’s in the Bible
This is the prayer we say when we ask Mary to pray for us.
We repeat scripture.

Lord Jesus, taught us how to pray:

Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus says,

“This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.’”

And again, the same instructions when a disciple asks to be taught how to pray

Luke 11:1-4
He said to them, “When you pray, say:

“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.

Now, where is Mary in any of it? Where did Jesus tell his disciples or anybody to pray to his 'blessed' mother?

Nowhere.

Hey GreenRock the only religion that I know that drinks real wine is the Episcopal. I heard that Lutherans drink wine too. I was a Catholic but I had serious doubts about what they believe in. Doing away with Limbo had me thinking about things they believe in that aren't in the Bible. I only went to Catholic schools growing up. I'm a Catholic when the Catholic Church spoke Latin. I was an altar boy during those times and having to learn the Latin responses for Mass was difficult. If Limbo was done away with purgatory should be next. Purgatory will not be done away with because it generates money for the Church. My mom spent over two hundred dollars to have a Mass said for my deceased older brother. I also don't believe that people in hell are there because of eating meat on a Friday. I'm not putting your religion down but whatever floats your boat.

You can worship Mary. You can venerate Mary. You can look to her to talk to Jesus for you...

All those roads lead to Hell.

Only faith in Christ and him crucified can save you. All were sinners...except one...Jesus Christ.

Traditions of men, such as the Catholic Church are deceiving men and stealing their souls. It is spiritual adultery and error.

Nothing wrong with venerating Mary, especially as we commemorate His incarceration. Nothing wrong with asking others to pray for us. Thing is, I'm not a medium communicating with the dead. I'm just a saint who prays to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

If the Catholics can communicate with the dead, well you got one on me.

I used to be told that the Virgin Mary was worship by the Catholics. I replied that Catholics don't worship her they hold her to the highest esteem. I was also told that the Catholic's religion was a pagan one since we worship statues. I told the people who actually told me that crap that they don't worship statues they simply ask the person that the statues represent to grant them favors. Why argue with a person about religion when you believe GOD? My dad told me never to discuss three things with a person and the three things are politics, sex and religion.
