Hold strong Ridge Roadians & Easy Streeters! (and anyone else in the area) It's all dropping, but at a turtle's pace on this side of I10.
IF the pace stays the same, you're looking @ 48h before Manchac/AB/Bluff all level out somewhere around 13.05'. However, I'd expect that the Manchac/AB level will start to drop at a faster rate today with everything north/east draining back out to Amite.

Yep. Looking like Monday will be the beginning of some sort of relief for us. Will be a long process.

Seems to me that we have way too many bayous, drainage creeks, rivers that are set up to drain into the Amite. Is there not some way to divert some of these drainage systems, especially in lower Ascension/Iberville to drain towards the Mississippi River in the event of an emergency flood situation instead of the current setup where everything has to go to the Amite?

Google Maps shows Bluff as being open, but with heavy traffic? Google Maps FAIL, or has it actually been reopened?

Anyone with an update on ridge/bluff? Over at my folks in Galvez gutting their house and I'm getting flash flood warnings. Only had 6-7 inches to spare and this rain is stressing me the frick out.

I'm on ridge right now waiting for a ride to the back. It's pouring right now. Doesn't look like the water has come up since yesterday but this rain sucks arse.

Trying to get word from my neighbor. Sandbags only thing saving him. Pumps probably getting overwhelmed.

Freaking rain. I'd imagine all these numbers are going to jump up a couple inches on the next reading. :(

Alligator Bayou was 12.99' @ 2:45p
