I’ve seen a statistic somewhere that I can’t put my hands on now, but the majority of these suicides are by non-combat veterans. I’d also look at the front end of who is being recruited and emotional baggage they are bringing with them. If we’re now allowing any man who wants to be a woman into active duty that only suggests many emotionally fragile people are being enlisted into a service that is exceptionally stressful for a baseline person.

I’ve lost two of my soldiers to suicide. They were incredible men; I think of them often.

That’s why I’m ALWAYS a phone call, email, or DM away. Whether I served with you or not! We as members of this brotherhood have to have each other’s back. ;IGY6.

If anyone on this thread is ever in need reach out and I’m there.

Tragic. Unfortunately we keep sending our fathers, sons, and daughters to fight police actions all over the world and they come back broken, physically, spiritually, and mentally. War does that to people.

I don't see that getting any better under Plugs. If anything it will only get worse.

Now you tell me our soldiers must share barracks with transvestites. Who in the hell would want to join the Army and be forced to deal with that creepy b/s?

Look for Plugs and his democrat pals to activate the draft.

Elections have consequences.

yet, the federal govt. no matter who is in office finds trillions of dollars for handout and gender studies in foreign countries. and organizations like wounded warrior have to depend on donations from the public.

I have never understood this. We have a lack of funding for public health services, yet we give billions away in foreign aid.

Is it that hard to apply airplane emergency rules to everyday life? Put your mask on first then help the person next to you.

I’m a disabled vet and it’s a daily battle fighting these demons. The VA just gives me pills and when they don’t work. They give me more pills and up the dosage. The only happiness I have is when I’m alone away from everybody. Being that I have a wife and young kids it’s hard to lock myself in a room all day. My kids are my motivation to get better.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I really am. Every time I call my State & Federal Legislators (which I do often) I always make sure I tell them we need to take care of our wounded warriors. Apparently it's not enough.

I'm sorry to read that. I did a lot of reading last night to better educate myself on you guys. Makes me understand a lot more about why non-profits and private services pour their time, effort and money into trying to help as much as possible.

The documentary I stumbled upon is called Almost Sunrise. On Prime. I had been watching some docs on the AT and PCT and it was a suggested/related movie. After it started I told myself "oh no, this is just another walk for a cause video blah blah..." But it quickly wasn't. It wasn't about a couple of vets walking from Milwaukee to LA for attention at all.

What I watched truly did affect me. It was very real to me as I'm not a vet or close to it. There's a couple of things in this movie I want you to see. Some final coping mechanisms that were breakthroughs for them. And others. You'll know what I mean when you watch. Stay tough.
