You should be good then. If you have first party coverage (collision) you should go through your insurer as their contractual duties to you are greater than those owed from the third party insurer (liability). Your insurer will then square up with their insurer.

If you’re located in the BR area, there’s one repair shop I’d highly suggest above all others but I won’t give out the name on here publicly so as not to infringe on Chicken’s advertising.

Vehicle #1 is usually the one at fault. I've never seen it any other way.

The guy who broke the traffic law is at fault. If you don't know which one of you that was, it was you.
