Hell, there was a report last week that the median family income for out of state students at Alabama was $400k.

Funny you should mention that. A girl from Monroe graduated from Wesleyan last year. While she was there she was a total hipster/SJW. Decides to go to law school at Bama and she's all Roll Tahd now. The transformation has been remarkable.

The median household income in the US for 2018 was $59,000.

So yea I guess you could say $200k is top tier.

Now, filter by white kids in fraternities.

Bruh, I was in a Frat at Auburn and and had friends in frats at UF, Bama, Vandy, Etc.

Every SEC school's Greeks are loaded with 1%ers.

This conversation is talking about white kids in major 4 year Southern colleges that run in fraternity type crowds/circles.

That is nothing in those circles.

I agree. In terms of wealth for kids in these circles, 200K is mid-level at best. (Hell, 200K is close to entry level for most of the Prep schools in Jacskon.)

He acted like Ole Miss's student population was abnormally wealthy and their greeks were abnormally wealthy. I'm saying they are average for the SEC.

Ole miss is just a smaller school so the wealthy likely stand out some more.

Doctors make a lot more than #200k.

This guy's dad does. Many do. A lot don't. You're average PCP these days doesn't; they are an employee of a hospital or some medical outfit. They trade upside $ for 8-5, 4/day per week living, with on call maybe once a week.

I doubt, with a doctor dad, that he had more money than the average Ole Miss white kid.

This is what I was disagreeing with.

No, all I said was in those circles $200k household income is nothing. Where did I say Ole Miss had more money than other SEC schools?

I just said he probably didn't stand out as rich with a doctor dad at Ole Miss.

I’m not arguing, but I’m interested as hell in what these people do for work that they can fill an entire school in Jackson, MS with students of families with that level of income.

She had to be more than a side piece if she was out there posting pictures of them on social media

Eh, posting "couple" pictures is nothing. That looks like a gameday picture (the sticker gives it away). To take a picture like that on gameday is nothing. Girls take a million of those every Saturday with a bunch of different guys that they're either hooking up with, previously hooked up with, or friend-zoned.

Think about it, they're hooking up, he's going to give her the pictures she wants to keep getting laid. It's a small price to pay for him.

I think her being a side piece played into his decision. My personal opinion is that he's likely an arse (as evidenced by the comment from her friend about him harrassing her) but she still kept hooking up with him. He didn't want anything to do with her outside of hooking up, so when she got pregnant, he immediately thought "oh frick, I just wanted to use her, now I have to support her kid" and his inner psycho kicked in and that's where we are now.

Although, seeing as she is allegedly 17-18 weeks pregnant, I'd like to know what she did this past week that pushed him over the edge. He's probably known about her pregnancy for a couple of months now, so I would doubt this was a knee-jerk reaction to the news.

This is where I will disagree with you because I run in those circles. Plenty of folks making $70k and living on credit cards to go to Jackson Prep and act rich. Also, a third or more of students at JA are having tuition paid by a grandparent.

And I admitted I meant white kid who ran in greek circles.

At Ole Miss, that just happens to be half the school. Which is a lot higher percentage Greek than other schools.

Yes, Greeks come from money at all SEC schools. Ole Miss just has a higher concentration of Greek affiliation students.

That is it. That is why I said he probably wouldn't stand out with a doctor dad.

My wife went to Prep...they are probably divided down the middle when it comes to kids who have wealthy parents and kids who have wealthy grandparents and the parents aren't rich.

Then they have that ~10% (guess) that is scholarship based.
