14 year male cat, outdoor cat (I don't like cats but this is a damn good cat) all of a sudden won't walk out into open spaces. He walks on the edge, as if he needs to be close to something to get his bearings.

He won't cross a room - he'll skirt around the edges or furniture.

Doesn't seem to be in pain.

Any thoughts?

I've thought of that, and I wonder if he's had a stroke?

Either take him to a vet or quit worrying about him

He's going to the vet Monday. I'm letting him hang out in the house and eat some good food. I have a feeling that this is likely his last hurrah.

Is he losing his vision? He might be using the walls as barriers if he can't see well

He had a mild stroke. Very common in cats.
