Reading glasses when I was in my early 40s. Real glasses at age 80.

Almost the day I turned 40. My dad didn't need glasses until his 50s, mom was in her 30s. Guess I went straight in the middle. Fwiw, I'm speaking of reading glasses.

Right after turning 40. Tried to work a crossword puzzle and could not focus on it.

Early 40’s for me. Couldn’t make out road/highway signs at night. Got contacts(vanity may have been involved), later got glasses too(multi focal, Transitions lenses)…

How old was I in the 4th grade? 10? Then 10.
I still remember the drive home and seeing individual leaves on the trees for the first time. I didn't know, thought they were like I drew them with crayons.
I am 63 now and still about the same prescription, so I guess I still am OK if graded on a curve.
