How about this: take it to a Quik Lube... During the oil change, casually ask if they can see a snake and whomp shite out of it.
We've got a winner!!
This for sure.

he still may not come out especially if truck is jacked up. all of the noise will make it slide to a place where it pops out of the seat or wraps around the gas pedal while the guy is driving.

Grab a hunk of bologna from the fridge and drop it by the truck door, he will come out.
Since when do snakes eat bologna?

Time to take that truck and trade it in on a new one

I would get a pump sprayer filled with something like triacicide and spray it on all the holes of the frame till he comes out. Then wash the shite out of it with a hose. If you are worried about the chemical smell getting inside the truck maybe try something like simple green.
best idea; next to turning engine off and leaving a hunk of ham and an egg out by the truck.

oh and snakes love; eggs ever go to get eggs from a chicken coop and see a rat/king snake swallowing your eggs? Damn bastards!

Right now I have the truck sitting out in the sun running, gonna try to hotbox him out. There is 50 feet of hot concrete all around it, so maybe he'll climb down and stay in the shade under the truck.
Snakes are cold-blooded and seek out heat though

You just described every male on earth

Mothballs will get him moving. They cannot stand the smell.

Leave it alone or take it to jiffy lube. Messing with is the worst thing you can do.

True. They do not like getting a whiff. Sounds like one of those 'stalking snakes' though. He better keep an eye peeled.

Park it in the sun. When it gets too hot he will come out.

Light smoke under your truck.
Charcoal works good. He will haul arse when the smoke hits him.

Found a black Rat Snake sunning on my patio about this time last year. It was at least 6' in length and just taking it easy. They'll usually just ease off, unless it's a water moccasin. They can get an attitude.

Best idea yet IMO. Smoke him out!
