It's definitely a thing here. The smell just reminds you of going to Reds and Bengals games as a kid.

I think they moved from BR to Dallas years ago.

Smoothie King moved to Dallas too.

Yeah, just cultural/regional differences. We eat pond bugs boiled in a big pot of spicy water

It’s been over 10 years, at least.

Most of the smart people leave when they get a chance.

The rest just rule what's left over.

What's up with the obssession of chili, a dish that any wing nut can make at home with very little effort?

Never had any of y'all shite, but Joe Burrow told the Pardon My Take bros that Ohio chili is the most disgusting stuff he ever ate in his life.

It's not my shite, I'm a Kentuckian. Cincinnati chili is just its own thing. It's not like the chili you're used to.

As a native Ohioan, Skyline is awful.

I was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton for almost 6 years.

I didn’t like Bob Evans when I grew up in Florida and I didn’t like it in Ohio.

Skyline Chili is something that is an acquired taste and I actually loved it because it is pretty much Greek chili. It tastes like Moussaka which is one of my favorite Greek dishes. Most people who don’t like it are expecting it to taste like Texas Chili. You have to come in with an open mind.

BWW, Arby’s, and Wendy’s are standard national chains. Nothing special.

Wasn’t a fan of Frisch’s Big Boy. Wendy’s is better.

The reason why most people have never heard of Charley’s (Not to be confused with O’Charley’s) is because the majority of Charley’s locations are in Military Base Exchange Food Courts (Military Shopping Mall). They make Cheesesteaks which is better than going to Subway, I guess.

Donato’s was meh. Of course they cut their pizza in small squares like most of Ohio. I call it “ hors d'oeuvre” pizza. It takes me 8 squares to be satisfied. Now LaRosa’s which is a pizza chain from Cincinnati was awesome and closer to Northeast Pizza.

Max and Erma’s was big around Dayton but I think they closed all of their locations in the area. They were good but I liked Friday’s and BJs Brewhouse better.

Columbus cuts their pizza in small squares, not the rest of Ohio.

At the other end of the spectrum Ohio (Columbus) is the home of the Cameron Mitchell restaurants which are really good.

I’ve literally heard of 3 of these and none of them sell food I leave my house planning to consume.

Is that a category you actually want to be winning, though?

I'm OK with Steak-n-Shake's take on it, which is basically just normal chili with noodles, cheese, and oyster crackers.

For a long time (and maybe still is) Columbus was the national "test kitchen" for a lot of restaurant groups.

This is the 2nd time in this thread that you’ve simped over a 24 year old football players opinion of food and how it dictates what you think as well.
