Not a fan myself but I know more than one person like myself (late 20’s) that think he is Gods gift to rap right now. frick it. I’ll just keep bumping my tribe called quest.

Switched to a Pawn Stars rerun for the win. I could only take about 30 seconds of his lack of musical talent. Sad excuse for music IMHO.

It's because most rap today is a guy taking into a microphone while his MacBook plays a beat. And that beat is run through all kinds of equalizers and compressors which muddle it down. It doesn't sound good on a stage when it's not coming out directly through headphones or speakers. You ever put rap on and go in a different room? Same thing?
If you've ever been to a concert where someone raps over live music it's still awesome. Old school hip hop and the beginnings of rap had house bands and live music.
