This is looking pretty legit. Really need to find where the black box is now, that will probably take a while to get. I wonder how deep the water is right there.

They recovered the Air France black boxes from nearly that deep, IIRC.

It is being reported now that the P3 Orion was not able to spot debris.

The debris could have moved, sunk, or just not be seen because of poor visibility.

It took them two years to find it though. Granted the 30 day beacon battery time had passed.
