Yeah, that’s a beef of some kind. Kid got caught up in it.

The article says the shooting took place inside the home so it wasn't a drive by.

The dude his dad shot at could have busted in to kill him and his family.
Valid theory. I betcha the Police have already located Jarkise Robertson.

Weird part of the city. Not close to BR and not really close to Denham Springs.

That area of Old Hammond from near Sherwood down to Florida near Denham has definitely seen better days. The flood didn't help.
I frequent Target, Best Buy and Lowes right around there and never feel like I'm in a bad part of town though.

It was a semi-rural suburb for a long time. Where those 3 stores are located were the woods we used to traipse around in when I was a kid. Millerville Academy was there, too. We used to play baseball & football on their baseball field.

I'm sure it's somehow related. Sounds like ole dad was involved in the BR underbelly.

Yep, I remember it well. I played ball at Millerville Academy in the 80s.

So baws in torn on how to classify this. It wasn’t a St. G shooting but it also wasn’t technically within the Baton Rouge city limits.
What do y’all think?
Also, I’m updating OP to include the N Ardenwood fatal shooting from yesterday.

I guess it doesn't count since it's not technically in BR or STG.

Is this StG vs Incorporated BR or StG vs Unincorporated BR?
Because the area of StG was never Incorporate BR.
Wouldn't a proper comparison be unincorporated BR vs StG?

Broseph I look at it like this...these were Baton Ruuuuuuuuudge people and I can assure you neither lives within SG. This is BR crime that spilled over into an area that might as well be BR. My advice? Give em half.

Aren't we better together? That means BR claims it.

Can you imagine the conversations this a.m. that state police, EBR, and BR City were having over who gets stuck with it?
Posted on 12/24/19 at 12:42 pm to TigersSEC2010
OP has been updated to include the fatal shooting on Dougherty Drive.
After further review, I am not including the Millerville shooting in this count as it was not within the city limits of either city. We all know it’s some BR bullshite though.

For the point of this thread, it falls into unincorporated EBR so does not go into the count for either city.

Maybe Broome can sue them next.

There should be a separate count for unincorporated EBR
